of the conservation movement, this 6,000-acre
wildlife refuge is home to 291 species of birds,
over 50 types of reptiles and at least 32 different
mammals. The Refuge features winding canoe trails,

Useppa Island for 11,000 years. The signature
piece of the museum is a forensic restoration
of the "Useppa Man" taken from a skeleton unearthed
